All modules will have a short questionnaire at the end of each one, which the student will be required to answer and complete before access is granted to the next module. This is to ensure that you have understood the content presented within each module.
At the completion of the entire course (which is approximately 16 hours in duration), the student will receive a Certificate of Completion.
Koala Conservation Australia Ltd and the Port Macquarie Koala Hospital also have available a short on-site practical component for students who wish to come to the Koala Hospital and learn further koala husbandry.
We have a practical course for koala carers with a two day duration at a cost of $200 per person.
We also have a dedicated 1.5 day practical course for vets and vet nurses at a cost of $250 per person.
This practical session is a structured opportunity to learn hands on skills with an expert at our facility and is available through a booking system.
Student will need to contact us to book a place in this experience.
The Koala Rehabilitation course refers to the Port Macquarie Koala Hospital Rehabilitation Manual 2019 6th edition. This manual and a canvas capture bag can be purchased online or at the hospital shop prior to the commencement of the course.
